Phil was an avid walker and would often visit with people along his way. He always had a joke or prank up his sleeve and loved to make people laugh. He loved animals and the cats he has had over the years were doted upon and spoiled rotten. He loved working puzzles and playing computer games. He enjoyed going to garage sales and adding items to his various collections. He had a fascination with building and observed carpenters and other workers when he had the opportunity. During the building of Valentine Hall in Starkenburg he was there every work day to help out anyway he could. At the end of the day he would sweep and clean up so the workers could start without a mess the next day. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
