Norma Jane Kruse, of Shrewsbury, Missouri entered into rest Monday, August 6, 2018. Norma was born in Rhineland, Missouri on September 21, 1941 to Edward B. and Lucille C. (Elsenraat) Kruse.
The Kruse family moved to Hermann, Missouri in 1950 when she was eight. She attended St. George Grade School and High School. Norma participated in every possible extracurricular activity while in school. Upon graduating high school, she moved to St. Louis to pursue her business career. She worked at Mercantile Trust, Dental Assistant to Dr. Louis Seyfried, Humane Society of St. Louis, Commercial Design Bank Architectural Company, United Transportation Union, and she retired from St. Louis County Government. With each career move, she gained the respect and love of her co-workers, and kept them as friends for life.
Norma's passion for life centered around her deep Catholic Faith, her family and friends, and her tireless volunteering for the Shrine of St. Joseph, the American Red Cross and others. She adored her nieces and nephews and loved spending time with them and her family. She was proud of her hometown, Hermann. She was an avid sports fan, especially her love for St. Louis Cardinal Baseball.
Norma is survived by her brother, Larry Kruse & wife Shirley; niece, Gina Leimkuehler & husband Jeff; nephew, Nicholas Kruse & wife Mariamalia; nephew, Adam Kruse & wife Molly; great nieces and nephews, Kelsey & Trent Leimkuehler, and Lucas & Lucianne Kruse, along with many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Kathleen Blumer and brother-in-law, Roger Blumer.
Visitations will be held Friday, August 10th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home, Ballwin, Missouri, and also Saturday from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.
A funeral mass will follow Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Church, Hermann. Burial will be at St. George Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. George Cemetery. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
