Nick "Pop" Miller, 72, of New Florence, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital West, Lake St. Louis, Missouri.
Nick was born in Mexico, Missouri on April 21, 1946, a son of the late Milford Byron, Sr. & Dorothy A. (Lennox) Miller.
Nick proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He worked as an over the road truck driver. He drove for several trucking companies around Mid-Missouri, including, Wetterau Foods, ATI Trucking, Tri-County Trucking, RTI, Lewis Carriers, Rush Trucking, and Carl Meyers Trucking. Most people will remember Nick as driving the trucks that delivered bananas.
In his free time Nick enjoyed working on his jeep, fishing, hunting, spending time with his family and helping and hanging out with friends. He also enjoyed sitting on his front porch, drinking mountain dew and he liked his chew.
Nick is survived by a daughter, Lee Ann Johnson & husband Scott, of Alexandria, Indiana; a son Keith Miller, of Montgomery City, Missouri, by his grandchildren, Kacey & husband Jacob, Jessy, Karli, Savannah, Heidi, Katelyn, and Logan & wife Lydia, and by his great grandchildren, Laylah, Isabell, Shaden, John, Railyn, Lennox, Hadley, Anna, Lane, Waylon, Audrey, Maelynn, Lukas, and Zoey, by many cousins, and a special cousin, Jackie OverKamp, of New Florence.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 12th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Florence, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m., with Mike Brandenburg officiating.
Burial will be at New Florence Cemetery. Memorials may be given to families choice. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
