Merwin Andrew Jarrell

Merwin Andrew Jarrell, 93, of Hermann, MO, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge.

Merwin was born in Evans, Louisiana on February 3, 1925, a son of the late Mark & Ora  (Newman) Jarrell.

He was the widower of Delpha (Horstman) Jarrell.  They were united in marriage on October 5, 1947, in Norfolk, Nebraska.  Delpha preceded him in death on November 22, 2012.

Merwin proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII.  He was a farmer.  He had several farms and also grew strawberries and peaches. 

He is survived by a step-sister, Lounita Colvin, of Texas and by nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, by their daughter, LaVon Inez Scott, by two sisters, Hazel & Mary Jarrell, and a brother Sidney Wallace.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 11th at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann.
