Marlene O. Lackman, 82, of Rhineland, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Missouri.
Marlene was born in Chamois, Missouri on February 14, 1937, a daughter of the late Adam & Alice (Schaepperclaus) Carnes.
She was united in marriage to Stephen E. Lackman on July 23, 1955, at Assumption Church, Morrison, Missouri. Stephen preceded her in death on July 26, 2019.
Marlene worked at the shoe factory and then a homemaker, where she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors with her many pets and she loved going to garage sales and shopping. Marlene worked the voters booth and wrote the Americus News for the Montgomery Standard.
Marlene is survived by their five children, Stephen Lackman, of Hermann, Missouri; Connie Gallacher & husband Bruce, of Louisville, Tennessee; Samuel Lackman & wife Paula, of Hermann, Missouri; James Lackman, of Cumberland, Rhode Island; and Darren Lackman & wife Tracy, of Rhineland, Missouri, by eight grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, by two brothers, Wesley Carnes & wife Sabra, of Chancellor, Alabama and Theron Carnes, of Chamois, Missouri, two sisters, Karen Carnes, of Chamois, Missouri, and Linda Buehrlen & husband Earl, of Belle, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her spouse Stephen, parents, and brothers, Martin and Rodney Carnes.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 26th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where services will be held for her and her husband Stephen at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be at Deer Creek Cemetery, Chamois, Missouri. Memorials may be given to the cemetery. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
