Lorene E. Black, 86, of Hermann, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at her home.
Lorene was born in Stolpe, Missouri on October 15, 1931, a daughter of the late Walter F. & Elenora M. (Fromm) Bock.
She was the widow of Elva Emmett Black. They were united in marriage on October 25, 1952, in Hermann, Missouri. Elva preceded her in death on June 5, 1984.
Lorene worked for Handi-Pac, then Stevens Manufacturing in Hermann. She also worked for Rite-Point. She was affiliated with the United Church of Christ. In her free time she enjoyed walking her dog Tia, visiting with neighbors and spending time with her grandchildren.
Lorene is survived by her son, Kenneth Black & wife Theresa, of Hermann; by two daughters, Linda LeBrell & husband Stephen, of Berger; and Debbie Parr & husband Gary, of Rhineland; by seven grandchildren, Cassandra Riley & husband Jeff, of Hermann; Torey Black, of Berger; Kendra Walkenbach, of Berger; Calista LeBrell, of Berger; Jessica Walkenbach & husband Brad, of Hermann; Jason Parr & wife Kirsten, of Rhineland; and Jaret Parr & wife Shelby, of Rhineland, and by nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Dennis Black in infancy, by a brother Henry Bock, infant twin sisters, a sister Emma Poeschel, a grandson Justin Black and a great granddaughter Jayden Black.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Darrel Deeker officiating.
Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery, Stolpe, Missouri. Memorials may be given to St. John's United Church of Christ, Stolpe. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
