LaVerne A. (Mathis) Battocletti

LaVerne A. Battocletti, 93, of Hermann, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge.

LaVerne was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 23, 1926, oldest daughter of the late Henry & Reta A. (Quick) Mathis.

She was united in marriage to Louis Battocletti on July 10, 1948,  in St. Louis, Missouri.  Louis preceded her in death on January 1, 1991. 

LaVerne and Louis lived in the St. Louis area for many years while Louis owned his bakery business.  They later moved to the Big Spring area where they made their home.

LaVerne is survived by three sons, Hal Battocletti & wife Mary, of New Florence, Missouri; Gary Battocletti, of New Florence, Missouri;  and Tom Battocletti & wife Dawn, of New Florence, Missouri; a daughter, Gina Vogelgesang & husband Tom, of St. Peters, Missouri; by two sisters, Shirley Muse & Mary Ann Kleinhoffer, both of Ellisville, Missouri, by four grandchildren, Mark Battocletti & wife Judy, of O'Fallon, Missouri; Lisa McBee & husband Jacob, of LaVernia, Texas; Amie Battocletti, of Hermann, and Nick Battocletti & wife Lauren, of Hermann, by seven great grandchildren, Kayla & Taylor Spreckelmeyer, Waylon, Wyatt, & Walker McBee, and Henry & Holt Battocletti, by two sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Adams & husband Tom, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Millie Battocletti, of St. Peters, Missouri, and by many nieces & nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a grandson, Michael Battocletti.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 7th from 9:00 to 10:40 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.

A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 on Sat. at Church of the Risen Savior, Rhineland, Missouri, with Rev. Msgr. Gregory Higley officiating. 

Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Rhineland. Memorials may be given to St. George Church, St. Baldrick's Foundation/Children's Cancer Research or St. Joseph Cemetery.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
