June V. Fricke, 90, of Hermann, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge.
June was born in Case, Missouri on January 21, 1929, where she grew up on a rush island farm. She was a daughter of the late Lyonel & Ola Mae (Bratton) Schweerkotting.
She was united in marriage to William E. "Bill" Fricke on September 2, 1950, at St. George Church, Hermann, MO. Bill preceded her in death on January 22, 2019.
June is survived by two sons, Brad Fricke & wife Chery, of Hermann, Missouri; and Lyle Fricke, of Peoria, Illinois, by seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter-in-law, Mary (Lammers) Fricke, and by a brother, Lyonel Schweerkotting.
At June's recommendation that they go into business, they purchased the Powers' Studio in 1952. June operated the studio and they owned Fricke Studio until 1982. They provided wedding and family photos to the entire area.
June was a vice-president of Epple-Fricke Developers which established See Tal Subdivision. She also managed multiple properties in Hermann. She was a member of the Hermann V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Hermann Jaycees. In her later years, she enjoyed the monthly ladies luncheon, where she socialized with her peers.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 5th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:00 p.m..
Burial will be at Oak Haven Memorials Gardens, Hermann. Memorial donation may be given to Hermann V.F.W. Auxiliary. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
