Julitta S. Jones, 90, of Hermann, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge.
Julitta was born in Berger, Missouri on November 3, 1927, a daughter of the late Charles & Susan (Garbs) Webber.
Julitta was the wife of the late James R. Jones. She was also preceded by her first husband, Raymond Walkenbach, her second husband Earl Taylor, by a daughter, Susan Overkamp, a sister, Martha Hurst, and a brother Walter Webber.
Julitta was a member of St. George Church, in Hermann. She worked in retail sales as a clerk.
In her early years, she was a wonderful seamstress, pieced quilts and decorated cakes. She loved reading and collecting cookbooks. Julitta had a green thumb when it came to growing beautiful flower gardens. Later, with Jim, they traveled the US in their home on wheels. But most of all she enjoyed family gatherings especially with her darling Avery and Emma Jade.
Julitta is survived by a son, Kenny Walkenbach, of Hermann; and a daughter, Liz Stiers & husband Mark, of Hermann, by five grandchildren, Brian Overkamp & wife Sheila, Sara Lotshaw & husband Tracy, Mila Crabtree & husband Billy, Kendra Walkenbach, and Jesse Stiers & fiance' Rachel Smith, and by eight great grandchildren, Raymond & Brianna Overkamp, Victoria, Brandon, & Keith Lotshaw, Vincent Dattilo III, and Avery & Emma Jade Stiers.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 13th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. George Church, where a funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Msgr. Gregory Higley officiating.
Burial will be at St. George Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. George Church or Hermann Hospital. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
