Joyce E. Eikermann, 75, of Hermann, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at her home.
Joyce was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 24, 1943, a daughter of the late Clarence & Fannie (Branson) Blankenship.
She was the wife of Dalton E. Eikermann. They were united in marriage on December 31, 1994, in Hermann, Missouri.
Joyce owned and operated J & A's Country Palace in Hermann. She then later opened Stuff & Non Sense Resale it shop in Hermann. She enjoyed managing her rental properties and her resale it shop. She also enjoyed going gambling and she was an excellent cook.
Joyce is survived by her husband Dalton, of Hermann; by a daughter, Muffy Nixon & John, of Hermann, Missouri; a step daughter, Angie Scheidegger & husband Mark, of Hermann, Missouri; two step sons, Blaine Eikermann & wife Shawn Gray, of Hermann, Missouri; and Chad Eikermann, of Kansas City, Missouri; by three sisters, Dinah Cooper, of Jefferson City, Missouri; Alice Shockley & husband DJ, of Rosebud, Missouri; and Aloha Gerbs, of Jefferson City, Missouri; by three brothers, David Blankenship & wife Donna, of Owensville, Missouri; Junior Blankenship & wife Patty, of Hermann, Missouri; and Mike Blankenship & wife Carol, of Macon, Georgia; by three grandchildren, Zena Pottebaum, Teckla Christian, and Freyja Stroup, by three step-grandchildren, Taylor Heying, Hunter Scheidegger, and Dakota Eikermann, by four great grandchildren, Iteara Christian, Olivia Christian, Iris Pottebaum, and Buckley Stroup, and by two step-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Donald Ray Sterling, Jr., a sister Bobby Ward, a brother, Ike Blankenship, and two brothers-in-law, Bill Gerbs, and James Cooper.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 12th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Lynn Stroup officiating.
