Edward L. Baur, 85, of Hermann, MO, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 at Boone Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. 

Edward was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on July 18, 1932, a son of the late Frank & Ella W. (Cramer) and Baur.

He was the husband of Leona (Elsenraat) Baur.  They were united in marriage on July 1, 1967 at St. George Church, Hermann, Missouri.

Edward served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  He worked for the Army Corps of Engineers as a boat pilot.

Edward is survived by his wife Leona of the home,  by a son, Michael Baur, of Jefferson City; a step daughter, Linda Owens & husband Steve, of Jefferson City; by two sisters, Nadine Ulrich, of Hermann, and Betty Brunner & husband Charlie, of Hermann, by a brother, Gene Baur & wife Brenda, of Hermann, and by grandchildren, Brittany, Erica, Caden, McKenna, Keaten, Corina, Casten, Kyren, Kelten, Cannen, Craig Kicker & Crystal Heldt and by six great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, by two step-sons Alan & Robert Kicker, by a brother Ray Baur, and a grandson Curtis Kicker and granddaughter Nicole Kicker.

Edward was a member of the Hermann Eagle Hall.  In his free time he loved to go fishing, to turkey & deer hunt, and watch the St. Louis Cardinals.  He was very fond of his cat Blacky.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 21st from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann, with full military honors.
