Dorris "Kliney" M. (Hanne) Starke

Dorris M. "Kliney" Starke, 91, of Morrison, MO, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Hermann Area District Hospital, Hermann, Missouri. 

Dorris was born in Morrison, Missouri on July 31, 1928, a daughter of the late Fred C. & Meta (Speckhals) Hanne.

She was the widow of Marvin J. Starke.  They were united in marriage on October 25, 1947 at Assumption Church, Morrison, Missouri.  Marvin preceded her in death on December 3, 1985.

Dorris worked for Florsheim & International Shoe Company for 37 years.  After that she went to work at Mosby's in Linn.  She also wrote the Morrison news for the Linn newspaper.  She was a member of the Assumption Church, Morrison, Missouri.

Dorris is survived by a son, Gerald "Jerry" & wife Dianna, of Hermann, Missouri, by a grandson, Bret Starke, two great-granddaughter, Baylee & Marisa, and by nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters, Dorothy Nolte, and Katherine Whithaus.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 8th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Assumption Church, Morrison, where a funeral mass will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be at the church cemetery.  Memorials may be given to Assumption Church Renovation or Morrison Volunteer Fire Department.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
