Donald A. Grzeskowiak, 72, of Hermann, MO, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 at Gasconade Manor Nursing Home, Owensville, Missouri.
Don was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 1, 1946, a son of the late Leo & Anna (Ozenkowski) Grzeskowiak.
He was the husband of Pat (Throgmorton) Grzeskowiak. They were united in marriage on November 25, 1978, at St. Ann Church, Normandy, MO. Pat survives at the home.
Don is also survived by two daughters, Nicole Puckett, and Allison Grzeskowiak, both of Hermann, Missouri; by a sister, Janet Gerdes, of St. Charles, Missouri, a sister-in-law, Marian Grzeskowiak, of St. Peters, Missouri, and by three grandchildren, Nate & Adalyn Grzeskowiak, and Myra-Anne Puckett. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Frank Grzeskowiak, a nephew, Matthew Grzeskowiak, and a brother-in-law Chuck Gerdes.
Don passed peacefully. He was a stay-at-home dad for the majority of his life. He developed a very special bond with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed working outside, woodworking, fixing things, going to auctions and most importantly international tractors. His love for International Tractors took him and his family all over the United States on special vacations every year. He was always on the hunt for new treasures and enjoyed taking roads he never been down before.
Don proudly served his country in the United States Army as a military policeman. He was a member of St. George Church, of Hermann, and IH Missouri Chapter I.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 9th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri.
A Funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Church, Hermann, with Rev. Msgr. Gregory Higley officiating.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri. Memorials may be given to St. George Church. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
