Darlene F. (Carver) Cruts

Darlene F. Cruts, 78, of O Fallon, MO, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019 at SSM St. Joseph's Hospital West, Lake St. Louis, Missouri.

Darlene was born in Portland, Missouri on March 9, 1941 , a daughter of the late Theodore "Pete" & Golda Mae (Atterberry) Carver.

She was the widow of Leroy Alfred Cruts.   They were united in marriage on September 26, 1959, in Hermann, MO.  Leroy preceded her in death on February 16, 2016.

Darlene is survived by their four children, Peggy Bounds, of Michael, Illinois; Patti Montalbano & husband Michael, of Montgomery City, Missouri; David Cruts & wife Jennifer, of Springfield, Missouri; and Penny Hildebrand & husband Kevin, of Troy, Missouri; by 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leroy, and two brothers, Edward & Glen Carver.

Darlene was a seamstress, she worked for many businesses and also made clothes and other things from home.  In her free time she enjoyed gardening and planting flowers, quilting and sewing.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 21st from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery, Rhineland, Missouri.  Memorials may be given to Susan G. Komen.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
