Bessie Wilma Schuch, 100, of Hermann, MO, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge.

Bessie was born in Chamois, Missouri on January 23, 1917, a daughter of the late Frank & Nora Dell (Chapman)  Maire.

Bessie was united in marriage on November 2, 1940 to Eugene Schuch at Linn, Missouri.  

They made their life long home and business, Schuch Memorial Works in Hermann.  Prior to her marriage she worked as a housekeeper in St. Louis and Jefferson City.  After her marriage, she and her husband owned & operated Schuch Memorial Works.  She worked in the office and with all other aspects of the business, until his death in February 26, 1998.  At the same time she worked at International Shoe Company in Hermann until her retirement.  

Bessie was a resident of Frene Valley of Hermann since January of 2012.  She enjoyed the music and singing of Vernon Kohlbusch, and going to activities and church with Connie Aubuchon.  

She is survived by her son Kenneth Schuch and his companion Joyce DiSandro, of Belle, Missouri.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sons, Ward, Larry & Randy Schuch, two brothers Willy and Gus Maire, five sisters Judy Galamaga, Esther Walker, Edith Barlesse, Angie Nichols, and Gennie Abbott and several nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 9th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be at Deer Creek Cemetery, Chamois, MO.  Memorials may be given to the cemetery.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
