Bernard L. Campbell, Sr., 72, of Big Spring, MO, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at his home.
Bernard was born in Mexico, Missouri on July 27, 1946, a son of the late George Bernard & Alma (Vaughn) Campbell.
He was the husband of Nancy (Cregar) Campbell. They were united in marriage on May 19, 1972, in Bellflower, Missouri. Nancy survives at their home.
Bernard is also survived by their three children, Bernard Campbell Jr. & wife Callie, of Wayne, Maine; Charlie Campbell & wife Mary, of Hermann; and Sarah Rugen & husband Chris, of California, Missouri; by three sisters, Mary Jane Murry, of Paris, Missouri; Gloria Thomas, of Fulton, Missouri; and Pamela Eisenhauser, of Mexico, Missouri; by four brothers, Kenneth Campbell & wife Katherine, of Mexico, Missouri; Russell Campbell & wife Cynda Foreman, of Rush Hill, Missouri; Dwight Campbell, of Mexico, Missouri; and Terry Campbell, of Mexico, Missouri, by six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Canaan Kilbourn, and one sister, Debra Campbell.
Bernard was a member of Big Spring United Methodist Church, Big Spring, Missouri. He worked for International Shoe & Florsheim Shoe Companies and then worked for Pretium Packaging in Hermann. In his free time Bernard loved to go fishing, hunting, work in his flower beds and make shelves.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Big Spring United Methodist Church, Big Spring, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Kim Boone officiating.
