Arnold Seitter Obituary

Arnold A. Seitter, 84, of New Haven, MO, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri. 

Arnold was born in New Haven, Missouri on October 27, 1933, a son of the late August Christian & Flora Belle (Trost) Seitter.

He was the husband of Marilyn J. (Wolfe) Seitter.  They were united in marriage on November 16, 1958, at New Haven, Missouri.  

Arnold proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1953-1956.  He was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church, New Haven Lions Club, the New Haven American Legion, and was a former board member for New Haven School District.

Arnold owned and operated Seitter's Market in New Haven for over 40 years.  He enjoyed his time at the store working and helping customers.  In his free time he loved spending time with his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, cutting grass, and bird watching.

Arnold is survived by his wife Marilyn, of the home;  by three daughters, Grace Ziler & husband James, of Maple Grove, Missouri;  Colleen Kirschenmann & husband Lee, of Omaha, Nebraska; and Karen Seitter, of New Haven, Missouri; by a son, Randy Seitter, of New Haven, Missouri; by a brother, Edward Seitter, of New Haven, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Amy Pryor & husband Matt, Julie & Emily Ziler, and Rachael & Trevor Kirschenmann;  by two great grandchildren, Sadie & Emma Pryor; and by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arnold is preceded in death by his parents, by three brothers, Glen, Emerson "Skip", and Melvin Seitter, and by a sister Eloise Linkinhoker.
 
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 11th from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Douglas Booth officiating.

Burial will be at New Haven Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to New Haven U.M.C. or Good New Voice Radio Station.   C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
