Chester W. Kleindienst

Chester W. Kleindienst, 83, of Columbia, MO, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 in Columbia, Missouri.

Chester was born in Bluffton, Missouri on February 1, 1941, the son of the late Jessie James & Margaret Lilian (Stiers) Kleindienst.

He was the widower of JoAnn (Jacquin) Kleindienst. They were married on May 30, 1964, at St. George Church, Hermann, MO.  JoAnn preceded him in death on October 27, 2007. He was also preceded by his parents and his brother James Kleindienst.

Chester was a member of St. George Church, Hermann, and the Knights of Columbus.  He and his wife owned and operated Chester's Service in Hermann for many years. 

In his free time he enjoyed working on tractors and vehicles, tending to his goats, going to auctions, truck and tractor pulls and gardening.   He also loved going with his brother Ron on road trips.

Chester is survived by three daughters, Donna Morrow, of Hermann, Missouri; Nancy Baker & husband Ron, of Columbia, Missouri; and Karen Menz & husband John, of St. Louis, Missouri; two brothers, Jarold Kleindienst & wife Delores, of New Haven, Missouri; and Ron Kleindienst, of Washington, Missouri, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many brother & sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 1st from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at St. George Church, Hermann, where a funeral mass will follow at 10:00 a.m., with Father Philip Niekamp officiating. 

Burial will be at St. George Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. George Cemetery, St. George Church or Shriners Children's Hospital.
