William  D.  Kreftmeyer, 67, of New Haven, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at New Haven Care Center.

Mr. Kreftmeyer was born in New Haven, Missouri on September 8, 1947, the son of the late Eugene and Louise (Scheible) Kreftmeyer.

He was the widower of Betty (Voss) Kreftmeyer.  They were married August 25, 1979 at St. Peter's U.C.C. at New Haven.

William proudly served in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of the New Haven American Legion, and a former member of the New Haven V.F.W.  

William worked for Kellwood most of his working career as a computer programmer.  He enjoyed gardening, listening to music, playing horseshoes and pinochle, bowling and going to the legion hall.

He is survived by a son Troy Kreftmeyer of Union, a sister Jean Hoerstkamp of New Haven, a brother Daniel Kreftmeyer & wife Donna of New Haven, two sisters Judy Brock & husband Ernie of Washington and Jenny Althen of New Haven, and by four sisters-in-law Peggy Speth & husband John of Ellisville, Linda Buschmeyer of Washington, Rosemary Risse & husband Charles of New Haven and Lori King & husband David of Washington.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and by five infant children.

Visitation will be Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. George Dohm officiating.

Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery,  New Haven.

Memorials may be given to St. Peter's Cemetery.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
