Viola M. Meyer, 84, of New Haven, MO, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at New Haven Care Center, New Haven, Missouri.

Viola was born in Berger, Missouri on August 7, 1932, a daughter of the late Ewald F. & Katherine E. (Nolte) LaBoube.

She was united in marriage to Gale W. Meyer on September 22, 1956, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Berger, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1982.

Viola was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Berger, Missouri. She worked as a machine operator and a supervisor for Langenberg Cap Factory, Berger. She later worked at Hermann Area District Hospital in the housekeeping department. Viola enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, embroidery work, reading, and spending time with friend and family, especially her grandchildren.

Viola is survived by her six children, Linda Lampkin & husband Brad, of Hermann; Debra McBaine & husband Mike, of Jefferson City; Brian Meyer & wife Judy, of Hermann; Brad Meyer & wife Sheila, of Berger; Annette Powell & husband David, of Salem; and Karen Pate & husband Rob, of New Haven; by a sister-in-law Maggie LaBoube, of O'Fallon; by a brother-in-law Glen Meyer & wife Dorothy, of Washington;by seven grandchildren, Ashley Meyer, of Auxvasse; Brad McBaine, of Jefferson City; Sara Meyer, of Hermann; Danielle Powell, of Salem; Jordyn & Sydnee Pate, of New Haven; and Ryan Meyer, of Berger, by three step grandsons, Ben Lampkin, of Washington; Jordan Lampkin, of Wentzville; and Wil Lampkin, of Richwoods, Missouri; by two great grandchildren, Macie McBaine and Brayden Ganschinietz, and by six step-great grandchildren, Cale, Emerson, Agnes, Cooper, Amelia and Monroe Lampkin.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a sister Eileen Groner, two brothers Wilfred & Marvin LaBoube, and a grandson Jared Meyer.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 21st from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Berger, Missouri, with Father John Deken officiating.

Burial will be at St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery, Berger. Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Catholic Church, St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery, or New Haven Care Center. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
