Thomas  A.  Kuhlmann, 78, of New Haven, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Mercy Hospital,  Washington, Missouri. 

Mr. Kuhlmann was born in Washington, Missouri on November 18, 1936, the son of the late Conway and Winnie (Talant) Kuhlmann.

He graduated high school in 1954 and later enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served from 1957 to 1958.

He was the husband of Carol  (Mann) Kuhlmann.  They were married October 24, 1970 at New Haven, Missouri.  Carol survives at the home.

Thomas is also survived by a sister Martha Stoenner of Washington, Missouri, two sisters-in-law Patsy Kuhlmann of University City, Texas and Gayle Lutz & husband Ron of New Haven, by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, by four brothers Conway, Edward, Robert & Billy Kuhlmann and one sister Betty Koeppe.

Thomas worked as a draftsman at Zero Manufacturing Company of Washington.  He later became self employed and started OK Construction & Repairs.  He retired from Bleckman Machine Supply.  

He was a member of the New Port PCA Church, Washington Iris Club, American Iris Society and the National Woodcarvers Association.  He was a past member of the New Haven Lions Club, Hope Lodge 251, 4 Rivers Shriner Clowns, Cave Country Barbershop Chorus, Notable Connection Barbershop Quartet, and the New Haven Volunteer Fire Department.

Thomas loved fishing, wood carving, mushroom hunting, doing cross word and jigsaw puzzles, building model planes, and playing the harmonica for the glory of God.

A memorial service for Thomas will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be given to New Port Presbyterian Church. C/O Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home.
