Shirley L. Speckhals, 79, of Hermann, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Creve Coeur, Missouri. 

Shirley was born in Berger, Missouri on May 6, 1937, a daughter of the late Harry & Louise (Bruening) Schulte.

She was the wife of Louis "Dugan"  Speckhals.  They were married on May 5, 1956 at St. Paul's Church, Berger, Missouri.  Dugan survives at the home.

Shirley is also survived by four sons, Allen Speckhals & wife Sharen, of Hermann, Missouri; twin sons Kevin Speckhals, of Hermann, Missouri; and Keith Speckhals & wife Teresa, of Fenton, Missouri; and Kurt Speckhals & wife Karen, of St. Charles, Missouri; by three brothers, Donald Schulte, of Hermann, Missouri; Jim Schulte & wife Gladys, of Hermann, Missouri; and Carrol Schulte & wife Betty, of Greensboro, North Carolina; a sister, Georgia Ann Rohlfing & husband Lloyd, of New Haven, Missouri; a half-sister Shirley Ann Trippe & husband Bill, of St. Louis, Missouri; by 11 grandchildren, Cullen & wife Caitlin, Branden, Dustin & wife Andrea, Jenna, Renee, Casey & husband Steve, Laura & fiance Nate, McKenna & fiance Danny, Cole, Jessi, and Molly and by four great grandchildren.
 
Shirley was a member of St. Paul's Church, Berger and of the Hermann V.F.W. Auxiliary. She worked for Ken-Roy Hatchery, for Mallinckrodt, and she was a cook for Gasconade County School District at the Berger 5th Grade Center and for the Hermann Middle School. 

Visitation will be held Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, Berger, Missouri, with Father John Deken officiating. 

Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery,  Berger, Missouri. Memorials may be given to St. John's Cemetery,  St. Paul Church or Hermann V.F.W. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
