Sherrill  G.  Reed, 85, of Chamois, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Reed was born in Bluffs, Illinois on December 19, 1928, the son of the late George and Helen (Ellis) Reed.

He was the widower of Hazel F. (Nueroth) Reed.  They were married March 22, 1957 at St. Charles, Missouri.  She preceded him in death on February 18, 2008. 

Sherrill proudly served in the U.S. Air Force.  He worked as a laborer in residential and commercial construction.  He then later was a farm care taker.
 
Sherrill is survived by three daughters, Diana Pope of Hermann, Shannon Reed of Hermann and Tanya Reed of Chamois, by a son Darrill Reed & wife Donna of House Springs, Missouri, by two brothers, Delbert Reed & wife Betty of Rushville, Illinois and Larry Stead of New Haven, by grandchildren, Jeremy Pope of Jefferson City, Missouri, Joseph Pope III of Denver, Colorado, Daniel Pope of Denver, Zachery Reed of Chamois, Richard Palazzolo, Jr. of St. Louis, Jeffrey Hoerr of Boston, MA, Lisa Hoerr of St. Louis,  Darrill Reed Jr. of House Springs, Missouri, Darrin Reed of House Springs, Chase & Desi Reed of Pershing, Missouri and Lisa Cooper of St. Louis, by great grandchildren, Adeline Pope of Denver, Alexis Pope of Jefferson City, Cooper Pope of Jefferson City and Joseph Pope IV of Denver and Macy Cooper of St. Louis and a great great granddaughter.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, by two daughters, Jennifer Hoerr and Carol Palazzolo, a sister Carolyn Faatz, a nephew Randall Reed, a sister-in-law Betty Reed and a grandson Joshua Pope.

Visitation will be Friday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri. 

Funeral Services will be held at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20th. Burial will be at Hermann Cemetery.
