Ruth Mae (Wilson) Goodman

Ruth Mae Goodman, 77, of New Haven, MO, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Grandview Healthcare Center, Washington, Missouri.

Ruth was born in Gerald, Missouri on December 7, 1940, a daughter of the late Dorsey & Helen (Kampschroeder) Wilson.

Ruth worked for Hermann Area District Hospital where she did secretarial work from 1999 to 2005.  Prior to that she worked as a hotel desk clerk at a hotel in Branson, Missouri and also was a waitress in several local restaurants for many years. 

Ruth enjoyed going to the casinos, doing embroidery work, crocheting, sewing and quilting, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by two daughters, Beverly Kunz-Straatmann & special friend Buddy Kindermann, of Union, MO; and Valerie Onstott & husband Brett, of Springfield, Missouri, by a sister, Dorothy Scheer, of Hermann, Missouri; a sister-in-law Joyce Wilson, of New Haven, Missouri, by five grandchildren, Father Eric Kunz, Joseph Straatmann & wife Sarah, and Tyler, Hayden, & Jeremy Onstott,  by two great grandsons, Matthew & Barrett Straatmann, and by many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother James Wilson, and a brother-in-law Orville Scheer.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 23rd from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. David Poe officiating.

Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery, Berger, Missouri.  Memorials may be given to St. John's Cemetery or New Haven Fire Dept.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
