Rudolph Theodore Oehlert, 79, of New Haven, MO, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at New Haven Care Center.
Rudolph was born in Menfro, Missouri on March 20, 1937, a son of the late Theodore R. and Ella (Sticht) Oehlert.
He was the widower of Mary Ann E. (Kleinheider) Oehlert. They were married on November 14, 1959, at Assumption Church, New Haven, MO. Mary Ann passed away on June 23, 2014.
Rudolph was a member of Assumption Church, New Haven, Missouri and of the Knights of Columbus.
Rudolph worked as a maintenance supervisor for the New Haven School District for 24 years. Prior to that he worked for the New Haven Police Department for 3 years and for the Franklin County Sheriffs Department for 11 years.
Rudolph is survived by a daughter, Sharon Derrington & husband Scott, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, by three grandsons, Matthew, Seth and Ethan Derrington, all of Cape Girardeau, by a brother, Raymond Oehlert, of Perryville, Missouri, and by three sisters, Elvira Lorenz of Farrar, Missouri, Anna Mae Gerler & husband Edgar of Gordonville, Missouri and Esther Petzoldt, of Shawneetown, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 13th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption Church, New Haven, with Father John Deken officiating. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery.
