Rita C. Weber, 81, of Hermann, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at The Arbors, Washington, Missouri.
Mrs. Weber was born in Berger, Missouri on February 27, 1934, the daughter of the late Peter I. and Lorene (Wilding) Meyer.
She was the widow of Anthony "Tony" L. Weber. They were married September 29, 1956 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Berger. Tony passed away on October 18, 2014.
Rita was an L.P.N. She started working at the Hermann Area District Hospital when they opened and worked there for 42 years until retirement. She also was an E.M.T. for 30 years for the Hermann Ambulance District and was a hospice nurse.
Rita was a member of St. George Church, Hermann, where she was actively involved and of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. In her free time, Rita liked to read, she enjoyed crocheting & fishing and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Rita is survived by her six children, Larry Weber and wife Jayne, Boulder, CO; Cheryl Cantwell and husband Bob, Leslie; Greg Weber and wife Cathy, Eureka; Renee Poulsen and husband Jim, Hermann; David Weber and wife Lynn, Camdenton and Angie Leimkuehler and husband Gary, Hermann, a sister Anna Rouse of Berger, three sisters-in-law LaVerne & Gertie Weber both of Hermann and Shirley Lanwermeyer of Washington, by 13 grandchildren Ian, Cassie, Wendi, Erica, Lauren, Nick, Zach, Jen, Becca, Tessa, Maeven, Kirsten, Garrett, by five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, by two sisters Marie Groner and Terry Jones and by two brothers Father Gasper Meyer and Peter J. Meyer and by two brothers-in-law Jerome & Vincent Weber.
Visitation will be Thursday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held at St. George Church, Hermann, Missouri at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 31st, with Father Bill Debo officiating. Burial will be at St. George Cemetery.
