Richard "Rich" Raymond Colter, 54, of New Haven, MO, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri. 

Rich was born in Washington, Missouri on July 2, 1961, a son of Ralph R. "Bud" &  Neomia Fay (Strube) Colter.

He was the husband of Paula K. (Meyer) Colter.   They were united in marriage on June 1, 1985, at New Haven, Missouri.   

Rich was a member of Assumption Church, New Haven.  He was a salesman for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company in New Haven for 33 years.

In his free time Rich enjoyed being at the farm, deer camp, spending time with his family and drinking cold beer.  He also enjoyed talking to people on his work route.

He is survived by his wife Paula Colter, of the home, his mother Neomia Colter, of New Haven, two sons Ryan Colter & wife Kristen, of Oskaloosa, Iowa; and Rustin Colter & wife Jenna, of New Haven, Missouri; by a daughter, Robyn Holdmeyer & husband Doug, of Washington, Missouri; by his Father & Mother-in-law, Kenneth & Joan Meyer, of New Haven, by three grandchildren, Sterling & Jaxon Colter and Nora Holdmeyer, by a sister, Roxanne Adams & husband Andy, of O'Fallon, Missouri; a brother, Ron Colter & wife Rita, of New Haven, Missouri; by three sisters-in-laws, Lucy Zablow, of Columbia, Missouri; Carol Pruessner & husband Jim, of New Haven, Missouri; and Myra Hanks & husband Larry, of New Haven, and by two brothers-in-law, Eric Meyer & wife Christine, of New Haven, Missouri; and Mark Meyer & wife Sharon, of Hermann, Missouri, and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He is preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 17th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Assumption Church, New Haven,  with Father Dan Mosley and Father John Deken officiating. 

Memorials may be given to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital or Quail Forever.   C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
