Rev. David Earl Kiser, age 81, of Morrison, Missouri, passed away on August 21, 2015 after a stroke. He was born to Elwood Earl and Marian (Klippel) Kiser in Meadville, Pennsylvania on November 24, 1933.

He graduated from Meadville High School in 1951 and from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois in 1956. His 55 year marriage to Gloria Hope (Weaver) Kiser began on June 4th, 1955, and lasted until her death after a long struggle with vascular dementia, during which David faithfully and lovingly cared for her.

David was an ordained minister in the Christian Missionary Alliance denomination. He served as a pastor in Winterset, Iowa from 1956-1962, and in St. Louis, Missouri from 1962-1970. He later held various jobs, including co-owner of Rinehart’s meat packing plant in Branson, Missouri; stockbroker; hotel clerk; and grocery
store fish counter attendant. Until a week before his death, he worked at the Adam Puchta Winery in Hermann, Missouri. He loved his job, thoroughly enjoying the interactions with his employer, fellow employees, and customers at the winery.

David also loved being active in his church, gardening, splitting wood and taking care of his family. The true center of David's life, however, was his devotion to God. He walked with God all his life, and his life exemplified God's love and saving grace. God was central to all his relationships--he was blessed with godly parents, a devoted wife, loving children and grandchildren, and many friends. He also taught Sunday school for many years and preached often. His teaching, his joy, and his obvious love for God and others touched many souls. He was a man who understood that true treasure can only be stored in heaven.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Timothy Kiser; and two sisters, Delores White and Linda Kiser. He is survived and will be sorely missed by the rest of his family: a daughter, Cindy Tudehope, and her husband, Tom, of Sioux City, Iowa; a son, Tom Kiser, and his wife, Pam, of Little Rock, Arkansas; a daughter, Bethany Berry, and her husband, Guy, of Morrison, Missouri; a brother, Larry, and his wife,
Gayle, of Spokane, Washington; and a brother-in-law, Richard White, of Meadville, Pennsylvania. He will also be sorely missed by his grandchildren: Rachel Dillman and her husband, Bobby, of Lincoln, Nebraska; Chris Tudehope of Sioux City, Iowa; Daniel Kiser and his fiancée, Rachel, of Little Rock, Arkansas; Samantha and Rebecca Kiser, both of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Hannah Berry and her fiancé, Mark, of Montgomery
City, Illinois.

Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor J.J. Miller officiaiting.

Burial will be Monday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Emmanuel Free Church in Hermann, Missouri. C/O Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home.
