Patty Lou Weiser, 79, of New Haven, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri. 

Patty was born in West Plains, Missouri on September 24, 1936, a daughter of the late William  H. & Geneva M. (Ingold) Cowens.

She was the widow of Vernon L. Weiser.   They were united in marriage on June 23, 1956, at Memorial Baptist Church, New Haven, MO. 

Patty was a charter member of Memorial Baptist Church, New Haven, Missouri. She worked for Hawthorne and Kellwood as a sample handler from 1955-1970. After that she went to work as a cook for the New Haven School District in 1974, until she retired in 1992. 

In her free time Patty loved playing bingo at the New Haven Care Center. She  enjoyed reading, playing card games & other games with her family, and watching hummingbirds.  In her younger years she also loved to bowl, but she mostly cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

Patty is survived by a daughter, Renee Carol Dvorak & husband Norman, Jr., of New Haven, Missouri; a son-in-law, Randal Zumsteg, of Leslie, Missouri, by five sisters, Karen Wichmann & husband Jim, of Hazelwood, Missouri; Linda Cowens, of New Haven, Missouri; Glenda Hoerstkamp & husband Stephen, of Washington, Missouri; Vicki Liesmann & husband Michael, of St. Louis, Missouri; Bonnie Craig, of New Haven, Missouri; a sister-in-law Molly Cowens, of St. Louis, Missouri, two brothers-in-law, Joe Weiser & wife Darlene, of Berger, Missouri and Victor Weiser & wife Chris, of Calwood, Missouri, by five grandchildren, Krissy, Tony, Russell, Brittany and Dalton and by seven great grandchildren, Patricia, Kylynne, Andrew, Emerson, Joseph, Zoe and Delaney.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, by a daughter, Deborah Marie Zumsteg, a brother, Larry Cowens, and by two sisters, Brenda Redhage and Rebecca Cowens.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 24th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, New Haven, with Rev. Joe Nogalski officiating.  Burial will be at New Haven Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Memorial Baptist Church or New Haven Care Center.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
