Patrick  "Pat"  McDonald, 78, of New Haven, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his home.

Mr. McDonald was born in New Haven, Missouri on June 7, 1937, the son of the late Louis Joseph and Oneilda Movena (Smith) McDonald.

He was the husband of Alice (Buenemann) McDonald.  They were married April 11, 1959 at Assumption Church, New Haven.  Alice survives at the home.

Patrick is also survived by three sons, Michael McDonald & wife Kendra of Boca Raton, Florida, Nick McDonald of Lansing, Michigan and Timothy McDonald of Washington, Missouri, by two daughters, Jennifer Riegel & husband Rod of O'Fallon, Missouri and Monica Blankenship & husband Kurt of Berger, by two sisters Joan Panhorst of New Haven and Barbara Spradley & husband Bill of Long Beach, Mississippi, by a brother Michael McDonald & wife Donna of Berger, by a brother-in-law Ronald Willimann of New Haven, two sisters-in-law Janet Nelson of Fulton, Missouri and Darlene Buenemann of New Haven and by his grandchildren, Jana Barbarick, Daniel McDonald, Heather Hass, Katelynn Morrison, Ryan & Aaron McDonald, Crista Jean and Sarah McDonald, Samuel Riegel and Ryan and Jacob Blankenship and by six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Joseph McDonald, a grandson Corey McDonald and a sister Mary Lou Willimann.

Patrick proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  He was a member of Assumption Church at New Haven, the V.F.W. Post in Washington, the New Haven American Legion, Big Blue Observatory Club, Eastern Missouri Dark Sky Observers and of the Internal Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He worked for Eckelkamp Electric in Washington for 30 years.  He also worked at A. W. Sieve in Washington before he became an electrician.

Visitation will be Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, Missouri. 

Funeral Services will be held at Assumption Church, New Haven, Missouri at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26th, with Father John Deken officiating. 

Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.  C/O Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home.
