Norman  J.  Diederich, 81, of New Haven, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Frene Valley Heath Care South, Owensville, Missouri. 

Mr. Diederich was born in Berger, Missouri on October 26, 1933, the son of the late Irvin and Evelyn (Willimann) Diederich.  He was baptized at St. John's Evangelical Church, Berger on December 24, 1933, and confirmed at St. Peters Evangelical Church, New Haven on March 30, 1947.

Norman was a graduate of New Haven High School.  He served his country for four years in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged on May 9, 1956. He was retired from the Kellwood Company.

Norman was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Washington.  He was an expert target shooter and was number one in the country in 2000.  He loved to race go-carts and when he was in better health he loved to golf.  Norman enjoyed traveling all over the world site seeing on his motorcycle.  

Norman was a perfectionist.  When ever he did something he always had a goal in mind.  Once he would reach that goal he would move on to the next goal or hobby.

He was the husband of Mae Jean (Sprick) Diederich.   They were united in marriage on October 8, 1960 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Washington.  They made their home in New Haven where Mae Jean resides.

Norman is survived by his wife, by a sister Elaine Asami and husband Richard of Fresno, California, a sister-in-law Arline Schuetz of Villa Ridge, a brother-in-law Melvin Menke of Rosebud, four nieces Cindy Wehmeyer and husband Charles, Tina McCurry and husband Douglas, Jill and Tara Asami and three nephews James Menke and wife Wanda, Eric Asami and wife Lacy and Douglas Schuetz, by great nieces and nephews, an aunt Mabel Rohlfing of Independence, Missouri, and by cousins and other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Larry Diederich and a sister Lavalle Menke.

A memorial visitation will be held  Wednesday, July 1st from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, Missouri.

Memorial services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Washington, Missouri.
