Nicolaas  Schildknegt, 78, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Schildknegt was born in Den Haag, Netherlands on September 13, 1936, the son of the late Gerard and Kniertje (Oosterbaan) Schildknegt.

He was the husband of Brigitte (Grigoleitis) Schildknegt.  They were married October 4, 1962 at Toronto, Canada.  Brigitte survives in Hermann.

He is also survived by a daughter Nicole Feodorov & husband John of Seattle, Washington, a son Klaas Schildknegt & wife Susan of Mystic, Connecticut, by a granddaughter Hannah Feodorov and two grandsons Jacob & Joshua Schildknegt.  He was affectionately known as Opa to his three grandchildren.

Nicolaas served in the Dutch Army.  He worked as a pipe fitter and welder.
