Nancy June McIntyre: Beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother
 
Nancy June McIntyre passed from this life on February 16, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, Missouri.  June was born on January 5, 1942 in St. Louis, MO to the late Harry J. & Mildred E. (Dorrance) Noerteman.  
 
June joined Daniel T. McIntyre in marriage on October 10, 1960.   They enjoyed 57 wonderful, loving years together, sharing the joys and hardships of life. 
 
June passed with her loving husband, Dan, and their children Susan, Dan (with wife Jennifer), and Amy by her side.  Her five grandchildren Ryan, Julia, Erik, Emma, and Megan will deeply miss their grandma. 
 
June’s greatest joy in life was sharing time with her grandchildren.  Her devotion to her grandkids knew no bounds.  If she was not with them, she was bragging about them or planning events with them.  No family event was held without June recording the occasion for posterity.  She spent considerable time researching family lineage to honor the past and preserve it for the future generations.
 
June was an award-winning teacher at Franklin County R-2 and Labadie Elementary schools.  She was dedicated to her students’ successes.  Her devotion to her students and her energy and enthusiasm never waned in 30 years of teaching.  
 
June cared deeply about civil rights and social justice for all.  She spent more than a decade as a Girl Scout leader guiding a generation of girls.  She cared about the plight of animals and continually sought to feed and shelter strays. 
 
June helped everyone and everything possible in her life.  She did as much good as she could, in as many ways as she could, for as long as she could. 
 
June was greatly loved by many and will be missed by all.
 
Private funeral and burial services will be held.  Memorial donations may be given to the Franklin County Humane Society.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
