Milferd "Jake" Ray Elfline

Milferd "Jake" Ray Elfline, 86, of Hermann, MO, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at his home. 

Milferd was born in Big Spring, Missouri on August 24, 1931, a son of the late Benjamin K. & Mary B. (Gentry) Elfline.

He was the husband of Loretta Frances (Bruckerhoff) Elfline.   They were united in marriage on April 14, 1956, at St. Joseph Church, Rhineland, MO.   Loretta survives him at their home.

He is also survived by their children, Milferd R. Elfline, Jr. & wife Michelle, of Hermann; Donald J. Elfline, of Hermann; Lori A. Heichel & husband Steven, of Overland Park, Kansas; David W. Elfline & wife Jennifer, of Hermann; Robert D. Elfline & wife Jennifer, of Rosebud, Missouri; and Victoria L. Held & husband Andrew, of Hermann, by a sister Mildred Brautigam, of New haven, a brother Melvin G. Elfline & wife Juanita, of Summerville, Missouri by 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Marvin & Milburn Elfline, a stillborn brother, a sister Margaret Elfline, a granddaughter Jill Elfline, and a great grandson Elijah Garner.

Milferd was a member of St. Paul's Church, Berger, Missouri.  He worked for Binkley Company in Warrenton for many years.  He was also the alderman of Berger for 14 years. 

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 14th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, Berger, Missouri.  Memorials may be given to the church or to Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
