Thank the Lord for facebook or I would have no found out until much later. I am so sorry to hear this. Melvin was a great; funny man. I so enjoyed being around him. He will be missed. My prayers out to the family.

Dear Barbara and children,
We will miss Melvin and his art. He was a good friend and cared deeply for his Church, school and family. We respect anyone who creates with his hands and Melvin was unusually creative. I like the way he could make unique art out of found objects.
