Mary Viola Ellebrecht, age 82, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Mrs. Ellebrecht was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 8, 1935, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Kohut) Bird.

She was the loving wife of the late Louis Eugene Ellebrecht.  They were married May 11, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri.   Louis preceded her in death on August 21, 2014.

Mary is survived by four daughters, Julie Claspille & husband Michael, of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri; Lynne Riggs & husband Dennis, of Joplin, Missouri; Mandy Ellebrecht, of Mason, Ohio; and Elaine Byrne & husband John, of O'Fallon, Missouri; by a brother John Collins Bird Jr., of Hommasasa, Florida;  by four grandchildren,  Andrea & Andrew Byrne and Jessie & Jacob Riggs, by a nephew Bob Bird and a niece Laura Bird.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother James Robert Bird, and a sister-in-law Sandy Bird.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Msgr. Greg Higley officiating.Burial will be at Oak Haven Memorials Gardens, Hermann.
