Margaret (Peggy) Meyer age 88 passed away on February 6, 2015 at home.
She was born May 18, 1926, in Berger, Missouri, the daughter of John H. LaBoube and wife Mary, nee Meyer. Peggy was baptized at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Berger.
She graduated from the Parochial there and later received her high school GED.
She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in New Haven where earlier she had served on the Church Council. At one time, Peggy served as Treasurer for the Senior Housing Board.
After employment with the Langenberg Cap factory in Berger, she went to Kirkwood where she worked as a clerk receptionist in St. Joseph's Hospital and later became a dental assistant until her marriage.
On July 17, 1971, she was united in marriage to Clarence John Meyer at St. Paul's Church in Berger. They made their home in New Haven after which she became a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence on March 3, 2014; her parents John and Mary LaBoube; brothers Arthur LaBoube and John E. LaBoube and sister Lorene Glatz and her husband Otto Glatz.
Surviving are a step-daughter Jane Ruth Kanning and husband William of St. Charles, grandsons Thomas Kanning of O'Fallon, Missouri, and David Kanning of Wentzville, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in New Haven from 4pm to 8pm on Sunday February 8, 2015. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday February 9th at Assumption Church in New Haven by Father Deken officiating. Interment in Trinity Cemetery next to her husband Clarence.
Memorials can be made for Masses or PSR (Parish School of Religion) at Assumption or New Haven Care Center Activity Fund.
