Margaret Mae Fricke, 89, of Hermann passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at Frene Valley Health Center with family by her side. 

She was born January 22, 1926, in Hermann, the daughter of the late Richard and Alma Rath, nee Brunner.     

Mrs. Fricke was a life-long resident of the Hermann area and graduated from Hermann High School.  After high school she was employed at the Hermann bank for several years, prior to becoming a homemaker.  She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Hermann.  

She was united in marriage on June 7, 1947, in Hermann, to Virgil W. Fricke who preceded her in death.  

Mrs. Fricke enjoyed reading, gardening, tending to her flowers, and feeding and watching hummingbirds.  

She is survived by her three children, Dennis Fricke (Mary Beth) of Hermann, Alice Wacker of Owensville, and Karen Goeke (Bryan) of Jefferson City.  She is survived by seven grandchildren, Bryan Wacker (Kathy) of Perryville, Jack Kottwitz (Amy) of Notasulga, Alabama, Angela Breedlove (Joe) of Gerald, Greg Wacker of Kansas City, Briana Goodson (Mark) of Jefferson City, Kevin Fricke (Amy) of Defiance, and Michelle Graziano (Brett) of Jefferson City.  She is survived by twelve great-grandchildren, Jase Fricke, Kaylee Fricke, Jacob Breedlove, Jenna Breedlove, Carson Wacker, Heather Rawson, Brittany Tinnin, Madelyn Goodson, Caden Goodson, Nolan Goodson, Khalil Graziano, and Aubree Graziano.  She is survived by three great-great grandchildren, Grayson Rawson, Adalynn Rawson and Mya Smith.  She is also survived by one sister, Eleanor Buschmeyer of Washington, three nephews and two nieces. 

Besides her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by her step-father Paul Szidat, one sister, Linda Scheible, two brothers-in-law, Elmer Scheible and Allen Buschmeyer.  

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, November 6th at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Rodger Kiepe of St. Paul U.C.C. officiating.

Interment will be at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens near Hermann.
