Lloyd L. Stock, 99, of Hermann, MO, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge.

Lloyd was born on September 27, 1917 in Berger, Missouri, where he grew up on a farm in the upper Berger bottom.  He was the son of the late Lloyd W. &  Magdalene (Hahne) Stock.

On June 1, 1946 he was united in marriage to Edna H. (Kallmeyer) Stock.   Edna passed away on November 29, 1986.

Lloyd is survived by their two sons, David Stock & wife Phyllis, of Ashland, Missouri; and  Douglas Stock & wife Judy, of Hermann, Missouri; by four granddaughters, Dayna Stock & husband Sudarsan Kant, of St. Louis, Missouri; Angela Carr, of Boliver, Missouri; Amanda Booth & husband Mike, of Wichita, Kansas; and Abbey Timmerberg & husband Ross, of New Florence, Missouri, by four great grandchildren, Cameron, Garrett, Rachel and Grace, by a sister-in-law Virginia Stock, of Washington, Missouri and a brother-in-law Joy Kallmeyer & wife Carol, of Hermann.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother Myron H. Stock and two sisters Carol Schowe & Ann Vanderwerken.

Lloyd was a lifetime teacher and school administrator in the public schools of Missouri.  He attended college at Central Wesleyan College at Warrenton, Missouri.  After completing college  there he taught in a one room country school in Franklin County.  He later attended the University of Missouri where he graduated with a degree in Agricultural Education.  He also received a Masters Degree in School Administration at the University of Missouri.  Lloyd and his family moved to Hermann, Missouri in 1951 where he taught vocational agriculture at Hermann High School.  He later became principal of Hermann High School, a position which he held until he retired from the teaching profession in 1978.

Lloyd also worked as an auction clerk for Kallmeyer Auctions, then for Kallmeyer-Schroff Auctions and most recently for Schroff Auctions, which he was very proud of.  After retirement from the teaching profession he worked for a number of years as Director of Hermann Resources for Handi-Pac and Blanke Plastics.  In his free time Lloyd enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and spending time with family.

Lloyd was a member of the Hermann United Methodist Church.  He also had memberships in a number of professional educational organizations.  He was an Army Veteran of World War II, having served with an Airborne Unit in the European Theater.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 25th from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Hermann United Methodist Church, with Rev. Beth Duckworth officiating. 

Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery, Berger, Missouri.  Memorials may be given to Lloyd Stock All Around Student Award or Hermann United Methodist Church. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
