Leslie B. Haselroth, 91, of Hermann, MO, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Hermann Area District Hospital.
Leslie was born in Case, Missouri on November 9, 1925, son of the late Benjamin & Frieda (Karl) Haselroth.
He was united in marriage to Genevieve L. Nolte on February 12, 1947, in Rhineland, Missouri. Genevieve preceded him in death on June 12, 2003.
Leslie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army infantry during WWII in France, Germany and Austria.
Leslie was a member of St. George Church, Hermann, Missouri. In his early years he farmed, drove a school bus, and worked for the Hermann Bottling Company. He was later a paint foreman for Home, Inc. of Hermann from where he retired. In his free time he loved to garden, do scrap booking, and spend time with his family and his faithful companion Sparky.
Leslie is survived by three daughters, Melba Engemann, of Hermann, Missouri; Debbie Stewart & husband Jeff, of House Springs, Missouri; and Brenda Kempker & husband Roger, of Fulton, Missouri; by six grandchildren, Tim Engemann & wife Melissa, of Hermann; Steve Engemann & wife Kate of Hermann; Lindsay Flint & husband Matt, of Shawnee, Kansas; Jason Stewart & fiance’ Brittney, of Arnold, Missouri; Nicole Kempker, of Columbia, South Carolina; and Heather Stewart, of House Springs, Missouri; and by 11 great grandchildren, Emily, Ellie, Ben, Olivia, Layla, Madelynn, Ava, Faith, Jackson, Colton, & Mason.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a son-in-law Gerald Engemann.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 11 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at St. George Church, Hermann. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Msgr. Gregory Higley officiating and Rev Deacon Gerald Korman assisting.
Burial will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Case, Missouri. Memorials may be given to St. Anthony's Cemetery or St. George Church, C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
