James Dean Romaker, 68, of Rhineland, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis,  Missouri. 

James was born in Hermann, Missouri on May 18, 1949, a son of the late Nicholas George & Leona Bernice (Fowler) Romaker.

He was the widower of Margie Fay (Horn) Romaker.   They were united in marriage on April 17, 2004 in Jackson, Missouri.  She preceded him in death on February 15, 2009.

James is survived by his two children, a son, Cory Romaker & fiance Tracy Case, of Hermann, Missouri; daughter, Becky Elias & husband Donald, of Fulton, Missouri; by a grandson, Austin Romaker, of Hermann; two granddaughters, Holly & Emily Elias, of Fulton; by a brother, Barry Romaker, of Fulton; a sister, Brenda Axton, of Catawissa, Missouri; a sister, Keva Williams, of Chamois, Missouri; and a brother Kerby Romaker, of Hermann.

James was a decorated war veteran.  He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam War.  He worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation in road maintenance.
