Howard A. Langenberg age 85 of New Haven passed away on October 24, 2014 after a short Illness.

Mr. Langenberg was born in Hope, Mo. On November 11, 1928 the son of the late Thoedore & Ferida(nee Baker) Langenberg.

Howard was the husband of Saundra D. "Sandy" (nee Straub) Langenberg. They were married on November 4, 1967 at St. Peters U.C.C. in New Haven. She preceded him in death on July 21, 2006.

He is survived by two children. A daughter Candi Hughes & husband Richard and one son Tracy & wife Sandra Langenberg both of New Haven. Other survivors include one sister Eunice Layman of Columbus , Ohio , a mother in-law Octavia Straub and brother in-law Charles and wife Kathy  of New Haven, and five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Johnathan Hughes, Madison, Brenna, and Avery Langenberg.

Howard was preceded in death by four siblings Lillian Langenberg, Mabel Broeker, Lorene Niewald, & Harriette Roche.

He was a member of the  Riverview Flying Club of Berger,  the New Haven  American Legion for 60 plus years ,  Elks of Washington & St. Peters U.C.C.. Howard Proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He and his father founded Langenberg Mining Company in 1944 and continued to operate it until his retirement in 1989.

Visitation will  be held Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in New Haven, Mo.

 Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at the St. Peters U.C.C.
with the Rev. David Poe Officiating.
