Helen  Gertrude  Aubuchon, 101, of Rhineland, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge.

Helen was born in Rhineland, Missouri on September 7, 1914, the daughter of the late Hugo & Hulda Mary (Grotewiel) Allgeyer.

She was the widow of Marion E. "Twister" Aubuchon, Jr.  They were united in marriage  on May 17, 1939, at Rhineland, Missouri. 

Helen was a member of Church of the Risen Savior, Rhineland, where she served on the church council many years ago, sang in the church choir and recited the rosary before mass.  She was also a member of the Hermann V.F.W. Auxiliary where she served as Vice Chairman, Chairman and Guard at different times.  She served as secretary of the Democratic Central Committee of Montgomery County and served as judge of the election as the Democratic official.   

Helen was the Postmaster of Rhineland Post Office for five years.  She also was a school teacher for many years and taught at many schools within the Hermann School District.  She was a correspondent for the Montgomery Standard Newspapers since 1996.  She enjoyed writing a weekly article with the news of Rhineland and the communities families.

Helen  is  survived by a daughter, Mary Steinmetz, of Jefferson City, Missouri; three sons Bruce Aubuchon, & companion Carol of Irving, Texas; Michael Aubuchon, of Frankston, Texas; and Roger Aubuchon & wife Darlene, of Hermann, Missouri; a daughter-in-law Connie Aubuchon of Hermann, a son-in-law Harold Harris of Nacogdoches, Texas, a sister, Alice Wehrle, of Jefferson City, Missouri, by 20 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Lois Harris, two sons Howard James & Max Aubuchon, two brothers Guy & Earl Allgeyer and a daughter-in-law Connie Aubuchon.

Visitation will be Monday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.

A funeral mass will be at Church of the Risen Savior, Rhineland, Missouri, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24th, with Rev. Msgr. Gregory Higley & Father Chris Aubuchon officiating. 

Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery,  Rhineland, Missouri. 

Memorials may be given to Masses or St. George School.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
