Goldie Genevieve Ham, 85, of Middletown, MO, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Gamma Road Nursing Center, Wellsville, Missouri.
Goldie was born in Big Spring, Missouri on June 23, 1930, a daughter of the late Fred W. & Ida B. (Grotewiel) Grosse.
She was the widow of George Pat Ham. They were married on February 8, 1961, at St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2006.
Goldie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wellsville, Missouri, the Montgomery City V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 4436 and she was the past president and member of the Hermann Eagles.
Goldie worked as a secretary and receptionist for Montgomery Standard Newspaper, Hug Printing and also for Associated Medical Arts, all of Montgomery City. Goldie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved her two dogs Dixie and Sada Mae. In her spare time she also enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
Goldie is survived by their seven children, daughter, Rita Freie & husband Charlie, of Middletown, Missouri; a son, Alan Ham, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Steven Ham & wife Vicki, state of Washington; a daughter, Marcia Ham, of O'Fallon, Missouri; a son, Gary Ham, of Montgomery City, Missouri; a daughter, Patricia Stoner & husband Tony, of Moberly, Missouri, and daughter, Vanessa Gonzalez & husband Mike, of Montgomery City, Missouri, two sisters, Willie Ridder, of Kimberling City, MO; and Brenda Eldringhoff, & husband Gene, of Montgomery City, MO; by a brother, Freddie "Sonny" Grosse & wife Suzanne, of New Florence, Missouri; by a brother-in-law, John Ham, of Columbia, Missouri, by a sister-in-law, Barbara Grosse, of Hermann, Missouri, and by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, by a brother Landon Grosse, a brother-in-law Lester Ridder and two sisters-in-law Ruth Magnum and Judy Ahlbom.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 17th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker-Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Florence, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wellsville, with Rev. Keith Clow officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery City Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or Montgomery City V.F.W. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
