Garry "Blue" A. Greene, 71, of Rolla, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Rolla Health and Rehabilitation.
Garry was born in Washington, Missouri on October 29, 1947, a son of the late Kenneth & Hazel (Buxton) Greene.
He was the husband of Judy (Glick) Greene. They were united in marriage on May 27, 1972, in Morrison, Missouri. Judy survives at the home.
Garry is also survived by a son, Todd Greene & wife AnneMarie, of Arnold, Missouri, a daughter, Amy Lewis, of Salt Lake City, Utah, by three grandchildren, Jake & Julia Greene, of Arnold, and Eve Lewis, of Salt Lake City, by a brother Richard Greene, of Gasconade, Missouri, a sister, Karen Greene, of Salem, Missouri, and by nieces & nephews.
Garry was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Morrison, Missouri, the Shawnee Lodge A.F. & A.M. 653, of Warsaw, Missouri, and of Scottish Rite, Kansas City. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers as a construction inspector.
Garry enjoyed golfing, raising tomatoes, traveling and spending time on lakes and rivers, but he especially enjoyed time with his family and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 8th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Greentree Christian Church, Rolla, Missouri.
Visitation will also be held Saturday from 10:00 to 12:00 at St. James United Church of Christ, Morrison, where a memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Ron Stair officiating. Burial will be at Good Hope Cemetery, Morrison.
