Frank Charles Annis, Jr., 90, of Gerald, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Delmar Gardens Meramac Valley, Fenton, Missouri.
Frank was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 31, 1926, a son of the late Frank Sr. & Katherine Anna (Tomeck) Annis.
He was the widower of Barbara (Crooks) Annis. They were married on September 30, 1950, at St. Louis, Missouri. Barbara preceded him in death on March 26, 2005.
Frank proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII. He was a bombardier in a B-17 that was shot down over Berlin and he became a prisoner of war. He loved telling stories of his military experiences.
Frank was a member of Ebenezer Stone Church, Gerald, of the New Haven American Legion Post 366, and of 91st Bomb Group. He worked for Inland Container Company of Fenton as a salesman for many years.
Frank is survived by a son, Claude Jeffrey Annis & wife Cathy Neubauer, of Washington, Missouri, a daughter, Zoe Perkins, of Kirkwood, Missouri, a son Clayton Annis & wife Debra, of Crestwood, Missouri, and a daughter, Meredith Annis, of Eldon, Missouri, by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. at Ebenezer Stone Church, Gerald (see directions below), where funeral services will follow at Noon, with Rev. Jim Hogue officiating. Burial will be at Ebenezer Stone Church Cemetery, with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to 91st Bomb Group Memorial Assoc. or Franklin County Honor Flight.

-Go through New Haven, MO and go left on Highway E
-Stay on Highway E for 3 miles and go left on Highway Y
