Eileen Lucille Spencer, 91, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, and formerly of Hermann and Kansas City, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 at Cottages of Lake St. Louis.
Eileen was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 19, 1925, a daughter of the late Benjamin Otto & Elvina (Jacob) Tinnemeyer.
She was the widow of Robert Emerson Spencer. They were married on June 9, 1950, at Peter's U.C.C., Kansas City, Missouri. Robert preceded her in death on February 26, 2007.
Eileen was a former member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann, Missouri, and was active in the ladies fellowship. She worked for Southwestern Bell in Kansas City from 1943-1953. She started as a customer service representative and then later became a customer service trainer.
Eileen is survived by a son Roy Spencer & wife Celeste, of Overland Park, Kansas; a daughter, Deborah Lehman & husband James, of O'Fallon, Missouri; by two grandsons, Ryan Spencer & wife Mary, of Overland Park, Kansas and Kyle Spencer, of Denver, Colorado and a sister-in-law Joan Spencer, of Madison, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Roy Tinnemeyer, a sister-in-law Helen (Spencer) Wiseman and two brothers-in-law Dale Wiseman and Richard Spencer.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Jennifer Long officiating.
Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery, Berger, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Paul U.C.C., Bethany Cemetery or Heartland Hospice. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
