Edna A. Rost, 95, of Morrison, MO, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge.

Edna was born in Morrison, Missouri on April 28, 1922, a daughter of the late Henry & Marie (Speckhals) Gerritsen.

She was the widow of Urban J. Rost.  They were united in marriage on June 26, 1948, at Assumption Church, Morrison, Missouri.  Urban preceded her in death on July 1, 2011.

Edna was a member of Assumption Church, Morrison, and of the Ladies Sodality. She was an avid quilter and quilted with the ladies group of Morrison.

Edna is survived by her four children, daughters, Cynthia Dorrell & husband Bill, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; and Myra Belser & husband Dr. Robert, of Laramie, Wyoming; and two sons, Keith Rost & wife Holly, of Winchester, Kentucky; and John  Rost & wife Chris, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and by nine grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister Leona Gerritsen and a brother John Gerritsen.
 
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 2nd from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Assumption Church, Morrison, where funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m., with Father David Means officiating.  Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to the church.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
