Edith Kay Hale, 72, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at her home.

Edith was born on January 24, 1944 in Centerville, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Leon & Mable (Leslie) Shaffer.

Edith is survived by her children, Rhonda Pender & husband Jim, Ramona Mundwiller & husband Mark and Rashell Hargrove & special friend Mike Scott, by her siblings, Donald and Joseph Shaffer and Dana Comte and Sharon Baker, by her four lovely grandchildren,  Aaron & Brian Pender and Elizabeth and Adam Fries, by her adorable great grandchildren, Alyssa, Gabbi, Collin, & Charlotte Pender and Aydien Fries.

Edith is preceded in death by her parents, by two siblings, Virginia Lee Shaffer and Leon Shaffer and one super talented drummer and grandson Chad Pender.

Private family services will be held.  Memorials may be given to Neuroendoendocrine Research Foundation, 20 Park Plaza, Suite 478, Boston, MA 02116.
