Earl Gene Buschmeyer, 70, of New Haven, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the New Haven Care Center, New Haven, MO.

Earl was born November 30, 1945 in Hermann, Missouri to the late Edwin and Mildred (nee Gaertner) Buschmeyer.

Earl proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from October of 1963 to October of 1967.

Earl worked as an auto mechanic most of his life, having worked for New Haven Motor Co., Kellwood Corp., American Recreation Corp., Maczuk Chrysler, City of Hermann, and Barreth Chrysler.

He was a member of the New Haven American Legion post 366.

He was married to Linda Voss for 40 years, they were divorced, they raised their two daughters together and still remain close friends.

Earl enjoyed working on his tractor, and going to tractor pulls and pulling his tractor. He enjoyed spending time with all his family especially his grandchildren and his brothers and brother-in-law’s. Most recently he liked to spend time at the New Haven Senior Center. Earl was very devoted to his mother, he spent many hours helping her and taking care of her in the later years of her life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lori Ann Buschmeyer, sister-in-law and her husband, Betty and William Kreftmeyer and a great niece and great nephew Sophie and Gaven Eikermann.

He is survived by his two daughters, Heather Heberle and husband Matthew and their two sons Ethan and Henry of Jefferson City, MO; and Julie Noltensmeyer and husband Shad and their daughter Karena of Rhineland. He is also survived by three brothers Wayne Buschmeyer and wife Virginia of Owensville; Maynard Buschmeyer and wife Pat of Berger and David Buschmeyer and wife Mary of Washington, and by one sister June Diebal and husband Bill of Hermann, by his sister and brother-in-laws Peggy Speth and husband John of St. Louis; Rosemary Risse and husband Charles of New Haven and Lori King and husband David of Washington, by many nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m..  Burial will be at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann, MO, with full military honors.

 Memorials may be given to the New Haven American Legion or New Haven Senior Center   C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
